Friday November 3rd 12pm – 6 pm “Technical Excellence in Materials, Analytical, and Biochemistry”

Speed Presentations – Submit your work, technical concepts, latest research, today for this innovative, small group, discussion format!  As a speaker you bring ~5 minutes of your best results and questions to share, in discussion format with the audience.  As an audience member, you will interact directly with the speakers, ask questions, learn new ideas, collaborate to learn all about the science happening right here in Michigan.

Lecture Presentations – traditional format where you as a speaker can share your latest results and innovations.  As an audience member, come learn about what is happening from invited speakers Michigan State, Dow, Dupont to name a few.

POSTERS – NETWORK – ENJOY the opportunity to share and learn about all the great science happening in the Great Lakes Bay, Central, and Northern Michigan! Hors devours and happy hour format.  Prizes for the top poster presenters!

Saturday November 4th 9:30 AM – 12 pm “Careers in Chemistry AND Volunteering in ACS”

Careers in Chemistry – Want to learn more about the companies and Universities in Michigan?   Are you looking for your first job in industry?  Looking to switch careers?   JOIN US for networking and connecting about the companies and universities in Michigan.

Dow, Dupont, Corteva, IFF, Impact Analytical, Prism Analytical/Montrose, Genesee Polymers, and many more are each hosting an informal information table so you can get that one – on – one questions answered, NETWORK with recruiters, learn about the companies/Universities, Gain valuable insights for you career search AND internship/coop opportunities!   This is not a recruiting fare, this is a network information opportunity.

Volunteering with ACS – Want to give back to Chemistry?   Help teach the next generation?   Stop out to learn about what ACS has to offer, what you can do to get involved, and especially the things that ACS Midland Local Section is doing.

BREWERY event to wrap it all up!   Join us to celebrate what looks to be an awesome Fall Scientific Meeting.  FREE Lunch and Brewery tour at Hunters’ Ale House, Mt. Pleasant, MI.  noon-2pm.
